The Delhi Capitals Women are an Indian women’s cricket team based in New Delhi that competes in the Women’s Premier League (WPL). The franchise is owned by the GMR Group and the JSW Group, who also co-own the men’s Delhi Capitals team in the IPL. As of the 2026 season, the side continues to be coached by Jonathan Batty and captained by Meg Lanning.

Delhi Capitals were one of the strongest teams in the early years of the WPL. They reached the final in the inaugural 2023 season after finishing at the top of the league stage with six wins in eight matches and qualifying directly for the championship match. The team repeated its strong performances in subsequent seasons, including another final appearance in 2024, establishing itself as one of the most consistent franchises in the competition through 2025.

Jonathan Batty was appointed head coach in February 2023 ahead of the inaugural player auction, where Delhi Capitals assembled a competitive squad of 18 players. Since then, the franchise has continued to build a balanced squad combining international stars and emerging Indian talent, remaining a regular playoff contender heading into the 2026 edition of the league.
